Movies in the Park, Heritage Place, dusk

Enjoy a fun night with family and friends watching Disney’s “Encanto” at the park. The event is free and seating is first-come, first served. Movies begin at dusk, approximately 8:15 PM. Chairs and blankets are encouraged. Concessions are available for purchase and are cash only. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted, no glass is allowed. Click for details.

Artisans Festival at B.E Winery, 12 PM-6 PM

Stroll through vendor booths filled with homemade goodies and unique items, while sipping some of B.E. Winery’s award-winning wines. Admission is free and the location is dog & kid friendly. This is a great way to support local artists and vendors.

The Learning Zoo is owned and operated by a professional zookeeper with over 15 years of experience who is passionate about bringing children and families closer to nature, encouraging conservation and educating the community through personal encounters with wildlife. Guided tours are $15 per person with no charge ages 2 and under. Tickets are required in advance and may be purchased online. More information is available here.


Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022

On the first anniversary of the opening of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park, supporters will again gather to commemorate Memorial Day. As described in the Conroe Courier, the event will start with the dedications of “The LINE,” and the “The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Monument.” The public is invited to participate in the “Grand Parade of The Pathway of Flags. Additionally, there will be a short program, music by the Jazz Connection, a wreath laying and a featured speaker.

Join Conroe’s VFW Members to honor and pay tribute to those who served America with honor and integrity and have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Post is also in the middle of their “Uniting to Combat Hunger” campaign to raise awareness and help fight food insecurity as 25% of active-duty military and Reserve member have had to rely on food bank donations to feed their families, including 1 in 4 Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans. You can bring non-perishable food or monetary donations directly to the Post between 4-8 PM, seven days per week, from now until July 31. All collections will be donated to Keep US Fed Montgomery County to distribute and VFW National will match donations.
