Now that the kids are done with virtual school, they are going to be ready for some new activities. Due to COVID-19, many of the traditional summer programs are not available, but Montgomery Self Storage is happy to provide you with these family friendly activities in Montgomery, TX for Summer 2020.
The lobby areas of all of all branches are now open on a limited basis with a restriction on building capacity. Patrons can place items on hold through the online catalog or call their local library branch and request an item. Once you are notified that the item is available for pickup, it would then be available for you to retrieve.
Summer Reading Programs for Kids, Teens and Adults will be online this year, June 1-August 15. Find out more about their online events and digital programs here. Many other services such as BookButler and Online Book Clubs can be found on their website.
If you are looking for some physical activity, Time to Spare Entertainment is now open for bowling, go carts and mini golf, although their arcade remains closed. More details can be found on their website. Time to Spare Entertainment is located at 13027 Highway 105 E, Conroe, Texas 77306, near Cut ‘N Shoot.
Even more physical activity options are now available. All park walking trails, disc golf courses, dog parks, tennis courts, and pavilions (following the Governor’s guidelines for numbers gathered and social distancing) are open.
The Aquatic Center, the C.K. Ray Recreation Center, the Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center and Pool and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park Splash Pad are all open, although they each have capacity limitations and the locker rooms and showers are not currently available. The new Conroe Waterpark is scheduled to open June 2 pending completion. The park hours will be Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Senior Center remains closed. Tentative re-opening is scheduled for July 6 pending the direction of the Governor.
The Parks & Recreation Department is currently offering some options on their Virtual Resource Center, including links to Zumba classes, games and activities to try at home and sports skills and drills for soccer and football. You can find the links here.
While they are currently closed, The Woodlands Children’s Museum has a great YouTube channel that has numerous links for Storybook Theatre and Shadow Puppet Theatre recordings that the little ones will enjoy. Their calendar can be found online and the recordings on their YouTube channel.
