Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival 2020 happening October 9-11

Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival 2020

Now in its 31st year, the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival is a three-day music, food and entertainment extravaganza held street-party style in historic downtown Conroe. The family-friendly event features non-stop live music, food vendors offering festival and Cajun favorites, arts & crafts vendors, a professional carnival, assorted community and educational exhibits, and an annual Catfish Pageant.

The Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival is produced by the Friends of Conroe, Inc., a non-profit community organization dedicated to furthering the common welfare and well-being of the city of Conroe. The group also supports several local charities, including the Montgomery County Food Bank, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Montgomery County Emergency Assistance and the Crighton Theatre. The organization also provides scholarship opportunities available to graduating seniors of any school or homeschool within Montgomery County.

Enjoy the excitement while being safe and responsible.

The festival planning committee has worked closely with state, county and city officials to address sanitation requirements within the festival. “We want everyone to feel safe and come out and enjoy what we’re putting forward,” Festival Chairman Keith Reagan told the Conroe Courier.

All Catfish Festival food and beverage servers will be wearing facial coverings. Patrons are encouraged to wear facial coverings and souvenir masks will be available for purchase. Social distancing will be encouraged per the guidelines set forth by the CDC and local entities. Additional measures include thorough periodic sanitation of social areas and carnival rides.
