Ways to Give Back Thanksgiving 2023 – Montgomery County, TX

There is no better way to count your blessings this Thanksgiving than by giving back to the communities that we live and work in. Montgomery Self Storage is pleased to share a number of ways to help others for Thanksgiving 2023, starting with our own food drive.

 

Food Drive at Montgomery Self Storage in Conroe

Through November 20th

We are collecting non-perishable food items in the office of our FM 2854 location through November 20th during office hours. All donations will be taken to the Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB). Here is a list of the most needed items at this time. The MCFB also has volunteer opportunities, information on how to get food if you or someone you know are in need, and how to make financial contributions on their website.

Volunteer in Historic Montgomery

The City of Montgomery is rich with history and proud to be the official Birthplace of the Texas Flag. They always have lots of events planned, especially around the holidays and they are in need of volunteers. You can sign up to volunteer for your available days and specific events such as Light Up the Park and their Christmas Parade here. Keep up with all of their events on their Facebook page.

 

Thanksgiving Day Feast in Magnolia – Free

Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 11AM-2 PM

West Montgomery County Community Development Center

Come to the Table – a Magnolia community outreach – will be providing over 800 FREE meals to those in the Magnolia area who will not have a hot Thanksgiving meal on their own tables. They encourage anyone who needs a satisfying Thanksgiving meal and fellowship to please come for a hearty meal that will include pork loin, gravy, green beans, roasted potatoes, rolls, cobbler and drinks. Meals on Wheels – Montgomery County

This group works to foster independence and dignity for homebound seniors in Montgomery County by providing them with nutritious meals, caring contacts and transportation. They have many flexible volunteer opportunities such as weekday meal delivery, working in the kitchen, office workdays, Saturday breakfast bag delivery and special events.
